About 5 months ago due to minor differences in opinion about direction with the label, as well as being pre-occupied with promoting my Ninja LP, I decided it best for me to leave my position as in-house designer and mastering engineer for Bully Records. I would have posted something about it sooner, but truthfully I have been swamped doing promo for the new LP, doing shows, and working on new projects.
Marco (owner and head of Bully) is a good friend of mine. He is someone I respect and love immensely... he also has incredible taste in music, and I support him fully in the future of his label. He has an amazing team that surrounds him, from the artists to manufacturers to the distributors and to the people buying the records, and has, in a very short amount of time, made a catalog and roster that would make most indy labels cringe. Congrats and kudos to that!
I wanted to send a public shout out and thank you to him for allowing me to handle the artwork and mastering for the last couple of years, and wish Bully the best for the future. I also strongly urge everyone to harass their local shops to buy from Bully, as it is the only fiercely independent 7" hiphop label around, and deserves your support.
Marco, please continue to bring the dope shit for 2008 (the slated releases are crazy!) It has been a real pleasure working for you - SixVicious.
